Partner Content: Ski Resorts

Get paid to be a ski bum? Sure! With over 750 ski areas nationwide, ski resorts offer a great seasonal job opportunity for any skier (or aspiring skier). From working in a lodge to being a ski instructor, almost anyone interested in a ski resort job can find one to match his or her experience and abilities.

Regardless of their job, most ski resort employees work a normal workweek of between 35 and 45 hours. Days off typically come on weekdays, which is a great way to beat the weekend crowds. Many employers A+ Summer Jobs profiles even offer benefits like free season passes and ski shop discounts to help employees have fun. In addition, since housing costs can be high in resort communities, some employers provide dorm-style accommodations at a reasonable rate. Others offer assistance with finding apartments or roommates, especially for out-of-town hires. Be sure to ask your employer if they can help before assuming they don't!

While most people don't realize it, many ski resorts operate in both winter and summer. Instead of skiing, summer visitors do anything from sightseeing to mountain biking. Needless to say, these resorts are a great place to spend either your summer or winter!

The A+ Summer Jobs employers represented here are some of the largest ski resort operators in the country. Be sure to note that some employers operate several resorts, often in more than one state.
